Our Mission
The supplement industry has a transparency problem. Companies routinely mark up products 500-2000% over manufacturing costs while hiding behind vague claims and proprietary blends.
Validora exists to shine a light on these practices. We provide independent, data-driven analysis that exposes markup practices, verifies clinical dosing, and evaluates quality standards—all with complete transparency about our methodology.
We're not here to tell you supplements are bad. We're here to help you understand what you're actually paying for, so you can make informed decisions about where your health dollars go.
How We Work
Research-Driven Analysis
We research wholesale ingredient prices directly from bulk suppliers, obtaining quotes and certificates of analysis just like manufacturers do. We add a conservative 50% overhead to account for testing, compliance, and processing—then compare to retail prices.
5-Tier Value System
Our tier system (★★★★★ to ★☆☆☆☆) shows you exactly where a product falls on the value spectrum. Tier 1 products have minimal markup over manufacturing costs. Tier 5 products have markups that are difficult to justify.
Transparent & Replicable
Our entire methodology is public. Anyone can verify our cost estimates by contacting the same suppliers we use. We publish our scoring criteria and update our data regularly.
How We're Different
No Paid Reviews
We never accept payment for reviews. Our validations are based solely on objective criteria and publicly available data.
Every Claim is Cited
Every data point in our validations links to a verifiable source. We archive sources to ensure long-term accountability.

Our validation methodology is published in full. You can see exactly how we calculate every score.
Corrections Welcome
We're human and we make mistakes. If you find an error, contact us and we'll investigate. All corrections are publicly documented.
Independently Funded
Validora operates through two revenue streams:
- Affiliate commissions: When users purchase products through our links, we may earn a commission. Our scoring methodology is fixed before any affiliate relationships exist.
- Featured Partners: Brands that pass validation (score 7.0+) can pay for premium placement. Partnership status has no effect on scores.
No paid reviews. Ever. A brand cannot pay to improve their score or receive a more favorable analysis. The only way to improve a score is to change the product itself.
What We Validate
We currently focus on:

- Sports nutrition supplements (protein, creatine, pre-workout)
- Herbal supplements and adaptogens
- Greens powders and superfoods
- Fish oil and omega-3 supplements
